Each year Archbishop Timothy Broglio concelebrates with his priests the Chrism Mass, during which the priests renew their commitment and the oils intended for sacramental use on military installations and in VA medical centers served by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA are blessed and consecrated.

The Chrism Mass is open to the public, and the faithful of the Archdiocese are encouraged to participate. Please view the visitor guidelines for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, in Washington, DC.

Priests in the Washington area are invited to concelebrate the Chrism Mass and to join Archbishop Broglio for lunch after the Mass. 

The sacred oils consecrated and blessed by Archbishop Broglio can be either picked up after the Chrism Mass or shipped to an installation if you have requested them ahead of time. The form to request oils has been closed, but if you need additional oils, please request them through the myAMS portal.
