Confirmation Schedule for 2008

As of 2 January 2008

The procedure for scheduling confirmations has been changed.

The Auxiliary Bishops will determine the order of visitation so that it can be a practical and efficient itinerary. All requests for invitatations to other bishops to confer Confirmation within the AMS should be submitted to Bishop Richard B. Higgins, archdiocesan administrator.

  • Bishop Higgins   Itinerary:
-- Europe and Installations East of the Mississippi.
  • Bishop Estabrook   Itinerary:
-- Pacific and Installations West of the Mississippi.

Now is a good time to review paragraph 4.2.1.1. of the Priests Manual.   Bishop Higgins, as the archdiocesan administrator during this Sede Vacante reserves to himself the prerogative of inviting any other Prelate to come on our military installations for the purpose of sacramental ministration.   If you wish to have your own Ordinary, or the local Ordinary, to come into the Military Archdiocese and confer Confirmation at your installation, you must contact the AMS Prelate for your area - as indicated above - and make your request through him.

As the Confirmation itineraries develop, they will be published here.

Please direct any scheduling concerns directly with the Prelate involved.
