Good Shepherd Sunday

“The harvest is good but laborers are scarce. Beg the harvest master to send out laborers to gather his harvest.” (Mt. 9:37b-38)

On the occasion of Good Shepherd Sunday, which occured this year on April 26, Archbishop Broglio has written a letter to discuss the call to priestly and religious life and the shortage of priests in the archdiocese. In it he encourages the faithful to invite children and young people in military communities to consider a vocation to the priesthood, the religious, or consecrated life, saying, “You never know when a word of encouragement, a question, or a thoughtful reflection might be the catalyst that a young person needs… Ask them to listen for the Lord’s voice and consider His eventual invitation.”
