Military Chaplains Need Your Support

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS), which endorses Catholic priests to serve in the U.S. armed forces as military chaplains, will hold its annual benefit reception at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on Tonight, November 8, 2011 at the Army Navy Country Club, Arlington, Virginia.

Worldwide, 1.5 million Catholic U.S. military personnel, veterans, overseas-based civilian government employees, and their families depend on the AMS and its approximately 525 priests and military chaplains for spiritual counseling, access to the sacraments, and sacramental record-keeping.

The AMS receives no funding from the military or the government.
The AMS has no parishes to take up collections.
