Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops

The Church has decided to examine herself on how she can lead young people to recognize and accept the call to the fullness of life and love, and to ask young people to help her in identifying the most effective ways to announce the Good News today.

-Pope Francis’s Preparatory Document

The Holy Father has chosen Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment as the topic of the XV Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops.  Archbishop Broglio desires the input of priests of the archdiocese and the young people they serve as he prepares the Archdiocesan response, which will be forwarded to the USCCB.

Priests are asked to collect responses to the questions Pope Francis has posed in the Synod Preparatory Document.  The responses will then be sent to the AMS, where they will be compiled and transmitted to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  The Secretariat of the Conference will then send all of the responses to the Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops.  Contact your Catholic chaplain to find out more.
