Vision
Ministry to Catholic youth in the military falls under the guidance and involvement of the Catholic Chaplain. His collaboration with the command religious program, area chaplains, the director of religious education, the youth ministry coordinator and/or other volunteers in the community serves as a way to assess the needs. Certificate in Youth Ministry
Adults serving as points of contact for ministry to Catholic youth must pursue the VLCFF Basic Certificate in Youth Ministry to develop an appropriate and healthy approach to comprehensive Catholic youth ministry in military settings.
Youth Protection
All adult coordinators and volunteers that participate in Catholic youth ministry activities must abide by the local background check requirements per the policy of their particular military installation chapel in addition to completing Child and Youth Protection Training. Click here to learn more.
