Office of the Judicial Vicar
The Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, as in all dioceses, appoints a priest to serve in all legal and judicial matters which concern the Law of the Church and is the director of the Office of the Tribunal. The priest must have a degree in Canon Law. The various functions managed by the Judicial Vicar vary in each diocese. Please consult the lead page of the Office of the Tribunal on this web site for all the ways in which the Tribunal functions. The present Judicial Vicar is Monsignor Thomas P. Olszyk, JCL, a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and a retired Air Force chaplain with twenty-three years of service. The Secretary is Miss Patricia Hutchison who also serves as a canonical notary.
