Military Catholics March for Life

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio (left in photo) today led some 40 members of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, (AMS), in the annual March for Life on the National Mall. The delegation included a group of Catholic cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, active-duty service personnel, Catholic military chaplains, and AMS staffers. The peaceful, pro-life demonstration was joined by tens of thousands on the one-mile route from the Washington Monument to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court, where the Roe v. Wadedecision, legalizing abortion, was handed down 46 years ago. The theme of March for Life 2019 was “Unique from Day One.” Continue reading

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Dozens of Catholic United States Military personnel and members of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), walked in the March for Life today on the National Mall. The delegation included more than 40 from Fort Bragg, N.C., three dozen from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and nearly a dozen others from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
