Record Number of Supporters Makes Gifts to Archdiocese in Annual Day of Giving

WASHINGTON, D.C.— A record number of supporters have contributed money in this year’s Day of Giving for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The AMS Day of Giving is held annually on July 21 to commemorate the 1986 establishment of the Archdiocese. Since Friday, July 21, 462 generous donors have contributed to the 2023 campaign, breaking the previous record of 326 donors set in 2021, giving the Archdiocese this year more than $85,000.

Support Free Exercise of Catholic Faith in U.S. Military on Day of Giving, July 21-22

WASHINGTON, D.C. — All who support the free exercise of Catholic faith in the U.S. Military have a unique opportunity this weekend to do their part. The occasion is Sunday, July 21, the 34th birthday of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA(AMS), which Pope Saint John Paul II erected in 1985 to provide pastoral care to Catholics in the U.S. Armed Forces. To celebrate the occasion, the AMS is sponsoring its first-ever “Day of Giving.” On the Day of Giving, the public may wish the AMS a “Happy Birthday” with a present in the form of a donation, large or small, at www.milarch.org/dayofgiving.
