ARLINGTON, VA — The Reverend Mr. Michael T. Nugent and the Rev. Mr. Charles C. Wilton were ordained transitional deacons on Saturday, April 23, in a solemn Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More in Arlington, VA. Both are on track to become Catholic priests and U.S. Navy chaplains with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). Catholic U.S. Navy Chaplain Candidate Ordained a Deacon in Denver

DENVER – The Reverend Mr. Anthony Davis, ENS, USN, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, Feb. 22, in Denver, CO. He hopes eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the United States Navy with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new deacon is tentatively scheduled to be ordained a priest next year and hopes to go on active duty following a three-year period of pastoral service in his home Archdiocese of Denver. Pilgrimage for the Sea Services Draws Hundreds to National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton

EMMITSBURG, MD. – The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton welcomed more than four hundred visitors Sunday for its annual Pilgrimage for the Sea Services. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is the Patroness of the Sea Services, which include the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and Public Health Service. The pilgrimage is co-sponsored each year by the Seton Shrine and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS) to pray for those who serve, and those who served. Continue reading
