The AMS celebrated its 11th Annual Benefit on Saturday, November 23, at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine. The celebration broke all records for both the number of registered guests–more than 300–and the amount raised in support of pastoral care for those who serve–over $419,000.
As in recent years past, the Annual Benefit opened with an anticipated Sunday Mass, which this year marked the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. In his homily, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, reflected on the Christian meaning of kingly power.
