WASHINGTON, D.C.—Time to take the Challenge! The AMS “Disciple Challenge,” that is. The Office of Faith Formation of the AMS (Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA) has opened a two-month window from April 1 through May 31 for students in families on active duty to test and develop their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, free of charge, by answering Challenge questions ranging in complexity by grade level.

ARLINGTON, VA – The Reverend Mr. Peter J. St. George, LTJG, USNR, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, April 10, 2021, in Arlington, VA. He hopes eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new deacon is on track to be ordained a priest next year and hopes to go on active duty following a three-year period of pastoral service in his home Diocese of Arlington.
