In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage announces its theme – One Nation Under God – as a nationwide call to renewal, unity, and mission rooted in the Eucharist.
Centered on encounter and mission as we walk with Jesus truly present in the Eucharist, the pilgrimage invites the faithful to renewal of faith, one person at a time. In solidarity with the United States Bishops’ call to consecrate America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the 2026 Pilgrimage brings Jesus Himself directly to the American people with opportunities for public participation in processions, Masses, devotionals, and more.
When and Where
The pilgrimage begins over Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine, Florida, where the first Mass in our country was celebrated at the Our Lady of La Leche Shrine at Mission de Nombres. The route will continue up the Eastern Seaboard through most of the 13 original colonies, reaching as far north as New Hampshire and Maine. The pilgrimage concludes over the 4th of July weekend in Philadelphia, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
How to Participate
As the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage unfolds, the Perpetual Pilgrims will carry the Blessed Sacrament across the country, engaging the universality of the Church by stopping at parishes in both urban centers and rural communities. Eighteen dioceses will host public pilgrimage events. Find out when the pilgrimage will be moving through your area and check the local diocesan website for event details.
