Archbishop Broglio Issues Statement on Operation Midnight Hammer

"Let us pray for peace."

WASHINGTON, DC – Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), has issued the following statement regarding the U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear sites in “Operation Midnight Hammer“:

“With all men and women of good will, we beg Almighty God to end the proliferation of acts of war and to inspire dialogue before more innocent people are harmed.  My heart goes out to all victims and also to those whose lives are in danger.  Let us beg the Prince of Peace for an end to hostilities.”

Speaking in his role as Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, Archbishop Broglio added:

“In addition to my statement as President of the USCCB, I want to add a word to the men and women in uniform and all of those in service in the Middle East and Gulf region.  My prayers are with them.  They once again find themselves in a situation of armed conflict.  I pray also for their families and all of those who suffer uncertainties in these times.  Let us pray for peace.”
