Archbishop Broglio will celebrate 30th Annual Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 18, at Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

4:30 p.m. liturgy to honor U.S. military members, living and dead

WASHINGTON, DC — His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, will celebrate the 30th Annual Memorial Mass at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the Great Upper Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Avenue, Northeast, in Washington, D.C.

The Memorial Mass is celebrated each year to honor the men and women who are serving or have served in the United States Military, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. EWTN will record the celebration and broadcast it in North America on Memorial Day, May 27, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT).

Joining Archbishop Broglio at the altar will be Catholic U.S. Military chaplains and priests who serve the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The 4:30 p.m. Mass will follow the availability of confession from 3:00 p.m. to 3:35 p.m., the praying of the Rosary at 3:35 p.m., and a musical prelude at 4:15 p.m.
