Archbishop Broglio to Celebrate Annual Chrism Mass Tomorrow Night at National Shrine

Service held to bless oils for sacramental use throughout the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, for the coming year

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tomorrow night, His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, will celebrate the annual chrism Mass to bless oils for sacramental use throughout the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), during the coming year.

The chrism Mass, which will be concelebrated by AMS Auxiliary Bishops Richard B. Higgins, Neal J. Buckon, and Robert J. Coyle, along with other AMS priests and U.S. Military chaplains, will commence at 6 p.m. (ET), Tuesday, March 24, in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Avenue Northeast, in Washington, D.C. Deacon Mike Yakir, AMS Chancellor, will assist along with co-sponsored deacons and seminarians.

The chrism Mass is open to the public.
