Archbishop Broglio to Celebrate Annual Chrism Mass Tonight at National Shrine

Service held to bless oils for sacramental use throughout the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) for the coming year

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, will celebrate the annual chrism Mass to bless oils for sacramental use throughout the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) during the coming year.

The chrism Mass, which will be concelebrated by AMS Auxiliary Bishops Richard B. Higgins, F. Richard Spencer, Neal J. Buckon, and Robert J. Coyle and other priests from the AMS, will commence at 6 p.m. (ET) in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 400 Michigan Avenue, Northeast in Washington, D.C. Deacon Mike Yakir, AMS Chancellor, will assist.

The chrism Mass is open to the public.
