Archbishop Broglio to Celebrate Annual Chrism Mass TONIGHT, March 12, at Saint John Paul II Shrine Mass celebrated to bless oils for sacramental use at U.S. Military installations and VA Medical Centers for the coming year

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Tonight, His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, will celebrate the annual chrism Mass. The purpose of the chrism Mass is to bless oils for sacramental use over the coming year at U.S. Military installations around the world and VA Medical Centers nationwide.

The chrism Mass will commence at 6 p.m. (EDST) in the main chapel of the Saint John Paul II National Shrine, 3900 Harewood Road Northeast, in Washington, D.C.

Auxiliary Bishops Richard B. HigginsF. Richard Spencer, and Neal J. Buckon will concelebrate, along with Catholic U.S. Military chaplains and other priests of the

Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), who will also renew their priestly commitment to serving those who serve.

The chrism Mass is open to the public.
