GUAM – Twenty-six Catholic couples based at U.S. Military installations on Guam spent part of last weekend on Tumon Bay for a Marriage Enrichment Retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The May 19-20 retreat took place at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa, about a five-minute drive from Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport. The new priest, an alumnus of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, plans to serve as an active-duty Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Army providing pastoral care to Catholic soldiers and their families with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). He is scheduled to go on active duty after three years of pastoral service in Texas under a co-sponsorship agreement between the two archdioceses.
