CINCINNATI, OH – Two prospective Catholic U.S. Military chaplains were ordained transitional deacons on Saturday, April 25, 2020, in Cincinnati, OH. The Reverend Mr. Michael Kapolka, 2d Lt, USAFR, and the Rev. Mr. Edward Hoffmann, (1LT) IRR, (both highlighted in photo) hope eventually to serve as priests on active duty with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS).

Prospective Catholic U.S. Navy Chaplain Ordained Transitional Deacon in Fort Worth, Texas

FORTH WORTH, TX — The Rev. Mr. Jason Allan was among a half-dozen candidates for the Catholic priesthood ordained transitional deacons on Thursday, March 19, in a solemn Mass at St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth. A seminarian at the Theological College, the national seminary of the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, Deacon Allan is on track to become a U.S. Navy chaplain with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new deacon, 26, hopes to be ordained a priest on May 15, 2021, and go on active duty after three years of pastoral service in his home Diocese of Fort Worth.

Catholic U.S. Navy Chaplain Candidate Ordained a Deacon in Denver

DENVER – The Reverend Mr. Anthony Davis, ENS, USN, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, Feb. 22, in Denver, CO. He hopes eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the United States Navy with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new deacon is tentatively scheduled to be ordained a priest next year and hopes to go on active duty following a three-year period of pastoral service in his home Archdiocese of Denver.

ROME – The Reverend Mr. Timothy G. Mergen, 2d Lt, USAFR, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Thursday, Oct. 3, in Rome. He hopes eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the United States Air Force with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). He is tentatively scheduled to be ordained a priest next year in his home Diocese of Madison, WI.

Prospective U.S. Army Chaplain Ordained in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, WI  – The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), is celebrating the priestly ordination of a prospective new Catholic U.S. Army chaplain. Father Matthew Faucett, (2LT), USAR, was ordained a priest on Saturday, June 22, in Green Bay, WI. U.S. Army Chaplain Candidate Ordained a Transitional Deacon in New Mexico

RIO RANCHO, NM – The Reverend Mr. Joseph Baltz, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional Deacon on Thursday, June 6, in his home Archdiocese of Santa Fe, NM.
