The Memorial Day Special focusing on the Archdiocese for the Military Services. USA, will air this weekend.

IRONDALE, AL – The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), and its unique mission “serving to those who serve” in the United States Military will be the topic of a Memorial Day Special this weekend on EWTN News in Depth.

The one-hour news program, anchored by Montse Alvarado, will take a close-up look at how fewer than 200 dedicated and overworked priests on active duty, serving under Archbishop Timothy Broglio, toil in the vineyard day and night to bring pastoral care to hundreds of thousands of American military Catholics stationed all over the world.

Ms. Alvarado and her team will explore the AMS mission, ensuring the free exercise of Catholic Faith in the U.S. Military, from multiple perspectives, including that of the Archbishop, active-duty chaplains, their families, and those they serve, and seminarians.

EWTN News in Depth—the Memorial Day Special—will air in North America on the EWTN Television channel and EWTN Radio at 8:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, May 28, and be simultaneously live-streamed on the network’s social media sites including FacebookTwitter, and YouTube. An encore showing of the program will appear on EWTN Television at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) on Sunday, May 30.
