Having completed his priestly formation at Theological College in Washington, DC—the national seminary of The Catholic University of America—Father Allan, 27, is on track to go on active duty with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). Under the terms of the co-sponsorship agreement between the AMS and Father Allan’s home Diocese of Forth Worth, he will be eligible for military service after an initial three year period of pastoral work in Texas.
BOSTON – Father David A. Campo, LTJG, USN, a candidate for United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a priest on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Boston, MA. He plans eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new priest plans to go on active duty following a three-year period of pastoral service in his home Archdiocese of Boston in accordance with a co-sponsorship agreement between the two archdioceses.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Sacred oils for sacramental and ecclesiastical use over the coming year on U.S. military sites worldwide and in the nation’s VA Medical Centers were blessed and consecrated Tuesday evening during a socially-distanced gathering at the annual Chrism Mass of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). Attendance was limited to no more than 60 members of the public due to crowd size restrictions imposed by the District of Columbia during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. WATERBURY, CT – Father Thomas Conway, CHC, LT, USN, a diocesan priest of Buffalo, NY, was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross on Friday in his hometown of Waterbury, CT. The Navy Cross is the second-highest military decoration in both the United States Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. The medal is awarded to Sailors or Marines who distinguish themselves for extraordinary heroism in combat with an armed enemy force.
