Virtual Lenten Retreat Scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, Under Theme, “At the Foot of the Cross”

U.S. Military-affiliated catechists, coordinators of religious education (CREs), Catholic pastoral life coordinators, and priests invited to participate at no charge

WASHINGTON, DC — “At the Foot of the Cross” will be the theme of an international virtual Lenten retreat hosted by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), on March 24, 2021. U.S. Military-affiliated catechists, coordinators of religious education (CREs), Catholic pastoral life coordinators, and priests are all invited to take part. Participation is free.

The 90-minute virtual retreat will take place via Zoom. For the convenience of participants at military installations in different time zones around the world, the AMS will offer the virtual retreat at two alternate times: from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. EDT and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT on the Wednesday before Palm Sunday.

During the retreat, His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, will make a presentation. Archbishop Broglio will also preside at the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
