The Catholic Media Association recognized Archbishop Broglio’s statement regarding U.S. Military attacks on suspected drug smugglers in the Caribbean and the Pacific with a First Place Award in the category of Best Diocesan Pastoral Message.

EAST LANSING, MI – The Reverend Mr. Paul Keenan, ENS, USN, a candidate for Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, June 6, in his home Diocese of Lansing, MI. The new deacon is on track to be ordained a priest next year and hopes eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy, providing pastoral care to Catholic Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and their families.
FARGO, ND – Father Brendon Schneibel, ENS, USNR, a candidate for United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a priest on Saturday, June 6, in his home Diocese of Fargo, ND. The new priest is on track eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy, providing pastoral care to Catholic sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and their families with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS).
