Bishop Caggianelli

Prior to his ordination, Bishop Gregg M. Caggianelli was the Mobilization Assistant to the United States Air Force Academy Chaplain, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a member of the Superintendent’s Headquarters Staff, he established guidance and advised on all matters of religion, ethical concerns, morale, and quality of life-impacting assigned personnel. In this capacity, Chaplain Caggianelli served as senior Reserve advisor to the USAFA Chaplain and as senior team leader to the Academy’s Reserve chaplains and religious affairs airmen.

Chaplain Caggianelli was commissioned in 1990 as a line officer, serving with the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. After leaving active duty in 1996, he entered the Air Force Reserves. He completed seminary at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida. Chaplain Caggianelli was ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest in 2002 and he reappointed as a Chaplain in 2003. Prior to this position, Chaplain Caggianelli was the IMA to the Commandant of the Air Force Chaplain Corps College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. 

In his civilian position, Chaplain Caggianelli served as the Vice Rector, Dean of Human Formation, and assistant professor at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida. Previously he has served as associate pastor, vocation director and parish administrator in the Diocese of Venice in Florida.

On May 9, 2025, Bishop Caggianelli was ordained an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. The ordination took place in Boynton Beach, FL, at Saint Vincent De Paul Regional Seminary.
