April 29, 2019: The Catholic Home Missions Appeal primarily supports home mission dioceses, that is, those dioceses in the United States that are unable to offer their people the basic pastoral ministries of word, worship, and service without outside help. It may also give grants to other dioceses in the U.S. for particular projects, and to organizations and religious communities engaged in missionary work. Continue reading

Black and Indian Mission Office

March 10, 2019: The second collection for the Black and Indian Mission Office is taken up on the First Sunday of Lent to support the organization which is the embodiment of the Church’s concern for evangelizing the Black and Indian peoples of the United States. The funds are distributed as grants  which support and strengthen evangelization efforts in dioceses throughout the United States, including the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. Retirement Fund for Religious

December 8, 2019: The second collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious is taken up each year on the second Sunday of December.
