In a formal ceremony and blessing on November 5, the Washington headquarters of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA was officially named the Edwin Cardinal O’Brien Pastoral Center. Cardinal O’Brien, Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, was Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, from 1997 to 2007.
Cardinal O’Brien joined Archbishop Broglio for the unveiling of a sign bearing his name over the front door to the Pastoral Center at 1025 Michigan Avenue NE, Washington DC. The brief service was attended by dozens of AMS clergy, staff, and supporters.
