Archdiocese to Hold Webinar for Young Adult Catholics in the U.S. Military

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), will hold the fifth in a series of Young Adult Ministry webinars for U.S. Military-affiliated men and women from ages 18 to 39. Also encouraged to participate are military pastoral leaders—Catholic priest chaplains and chapel staff at installations worldwide. The 60-to-90-minute webinar will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 8:00 p.m. EST and twice on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7:00 a.m. EST and again at 2:00 p.m. EST.  Each session will consist of a common keynote presentation and military young adult witness followed by individual live discussions. Catholic U.S. Navy Chaplain Candidate Ordained a Deacon in Boston

BOSTON – The Reverend Mr. David Campo, LTJG, USN, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States Military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional deacon on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Boston, MA. He plans eventually to serve as a Catholic chaplain in the U.S. Navy with endorsement and faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The new deacon is on track to be ordained a priest next year and hopes to go on active duty following a three-year period of pastoral service in his home Archdiocese of Boston.
