Where I am from:
Bensalem, Pennsylvania
Where I serve:
Fort Campbell, Kentucky
Why I serve:
I chose this service because it was definitely a calling and that I cannot really explain in words. What I can attest to is the drive to help others through suffering and navigating life, and with family members in the military, it has become more personal. Hearing their stories helped me see more clearly what it is actually like, how difficult it is to maintain one’s faith in the military, which gives me a drive to go out and be a presence for these people and their families. To be present, to be open, to be a resource, the drive to put a little of the world back together.
Favorite Saint:
Ven. Fulton J. Sheen — I know he is not a saint yet (his canonization is still in process), but he’s definitely been a model and anchor during my last two years in college and this missionary position.
