Donor Advised Fund

What is a donor advised fund (DAF)?

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you, and allows you to recommend grants to charities of your choice over time.

How do I give through a donor advised fund?

Giving to the AMS through a donor advised fund is simple and easy, and can be done by granting a gift to the AMS today, or making a gift later.

When granting through your donor advised fund, please use the following tax ID:
Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA
Tax ID: 13-1624090

If you already have a donor advised fund, you can select your financial institution
and log in to your account to begin granting to the AMS:

Can’t find your financial institution?

The list above are the most common institutions from which the AMS receives grants, though there are many others. If your financial institution isn’t listed, you can still give by:

1.) Calling your fund manager and recommending the AMS as a recipient and how much the grant should be

OR

2.) Logging into your DAF account online and completing the granting process online using the Tax ID above

What happens next?

The fund manager/financial institution will send a check directly to the AMS from your fund.
The grant will arrive with only the fund’s name and address on it unless you request otherwise. Please request for your name and address to also be included.
