Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, will preach the homily at a Mass to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. The Mass will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. (EST) in the Saint John Paul II National Shrine, 3900 Harewood Road NE, Washington, D.C. Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, Supreme Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus (K of C), will be the principal celebrant.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Catholic couples with one at least one spouse on active duty in the U.S. Military and married for at least two years are eligible to take part in a Catholic Marriage Enrichment Retreat Dec. 7-9 at the Sacred Heart Retreat House in Alhambra, CA. WASHINGTON, D.C. – A charity team of 54 runners representing the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, (AMS), crossed the finish line in the 34th annual Army Ten-Miler on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, just $7,530 short of its $60,000 fundraising goal. Consequently, the AMS has decided to extend the donationperiod in hopes of reaching the target. Donors now have until Monday, Oct. 15, to make a gift. When bestowing the St. Patrick Seminary’s Patrician Award on the AMS, the President-Rector of the seminary cited the AMS discernment retreats which have been held there annually for many years.
EMMITSBURG, MD — All are welcome to the annual Pilgrimage for the Sea Services at the Seton Shrine on Sunday, October 7, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is the Patroness of the Sea Services, which includes the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine and Public Health Service. The late Cardinal John J. Connor, when serving as the Navy Chief of Chaplains, advocated for her designation as the Patroness of the Sea Services in 1977. The 3:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated by Father Francis P. Foley, CAPT, CHC, USN, and Command Chaplain of the Unites States Naval Academy. The Mass is co-sponsored by the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.

Archbishop Broglio accepted the award—a statuette of St. Patrick—on behalf of the gala honoree, the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, (AMS), of which he has been the chief shepherd for the past ten years.
