After a Catholic faith community has scheduled the voluntary quarterly offerings for the benefit of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, they may also want to consider supporting some of the recommended special collections.
The offerings can be sent to AMS designated for the special collection, and AMS will forward them to the appropriate organization.

Black and Indian Mission Office
February 22, 2026: The second collection for the Black and Indian Mission Office is taken up on the First Sunday of Lent to support the organization which is the embodiment of the Church’s concern for evangelizing the Black and Indian peoples of the United States. The funds are distributed as grants which support and strengthen evangelization efforts in dioceses throughout the United States, including the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.

Catholic Relief Services
March 15, 2026: This collection provides funding for Catholic Relief Services, the USCCB Offices of International Justice and Peace, Migration and Refugee Services, and Pastoral Care for Migrants and Refugees, relief work of the Holy Father, and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network.

CRS Rice Bowl
Lent: February 18 – April 5, 2026 CRS Rice Bowl provides funding for Catholic Relief Services’ food security projects which support agriculture, nutrition, education, and self-sufficiency in communities around the world.

Holy Week Collections
March 9 and April 3, 2026: Installations are encouraged to continue the practice of taking up a collection on Palm Sunday for the AMS. They are also invited to support Christians in the Holy Land by donating to the Good Friday Collection.

Catholic Home Missions
April 26, 2026: The Catholic Home Missions Appeal primarily supports home mission dioceses, that is, those dioceses in the United States that are unable to offer their people the basic pastoral ministries of word, worship, and service without outside help. It may also give grants to other dioceses in the U.S. for particular projects, and to organizations and religious communities engaged in missionary work.

Peter’s Pence
June 28, 2026: The Peter’s Pence Collection is the way we, as members of the Catholic Church, unite ourselves to the concerns of the Holy Father. Donations to this collection support the charitable works of Pope Francis for the relief of those most in need.

World Mission Sunday
October 18, 2026: World Mission Sunday is a second collection taken at Masses on the second to last Sunday in October to provide for the building up of over one thousand local churches in Asia and Africa, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe.

Retirement Fund for Religious
December 13, 2026: The second collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious is taken up each year on the second Sunday of December. The proceeds are distributed to religious communities and underwrite financial assistance, consultation, and education that help religious communities meet the immediate and ongoing needs of aging members
