INDIANAPOLIS, IND – The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), is celebrating the priestly ordination of a prospective new Catholic U.S. Air Force chaplain. Father Vincent (Vinny) Gillmore, 2d Lt, USAFR, was ordained a priest on Saturday, June 1, in Indianapolis, IN. Father Gillmore, a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, hopes to go on active duty with AMS endorsement and faculties once he completes three years of pastoral service in his home Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

ARLINGTON, VA – Father Sean Koehr, a U.S. Navy chaplain candidate, was ordained a priest on Saturday, June 8, in Arlington, VA. Father Koehr, 29, completed his priestly formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA, where he earned a Master of Divinity Degree and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology. U.S. Army Chaplain Candidate Ordained a Transitional Deacon in New Mexico

RIO RANCHO, NM – The Reverend Mr. Joseph Baltz, a candidate for the Catholic priesthood and United States military chaplaincy, was ordained a transitional Deacon on Thursday, June 6, in his home Archdiocese of Santa Fe, NM. Military Young Adult Retreat Draws 30 to Alhambra, California

That was the question explored by thirty United States Military members and spouses in a three-day Military Young Adult Retreat held over the weekend in Alhambra, CA. The participants, who came from all five branches of the armed forces, gathered at the Retreat House of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles for the three-day retreat, which was sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS).
