Marriage Enrichment Retreat Draws Record Turnout in Germany

WALDFISCHBACH-BURGALBEN, GERMANY — The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), welcomed a record thirty-one U.S. Air Force couples to Waldfischbach-Burgalben, Germany, this past weekend for an AMS Marriage Enrichment Retreat. The couples, from the Holy Family Catholic Community at Ramstein Air Base, about 20 miles away, all participated in the April 11-12 retreat at the Maria Rosenberg Pilgrimage Site and Spiritual Center — a site run by the Diocese of Speyer in southwest Germany. Fathers Emeka C. Okwuosa, Ch, Capt, USAF, and Joseph Deichert, Ch, Col, USAF (Ret.), worked with the planning committee and the facilitator, AMS Vice-Chancellor for Evangelization Mark Moitoza, Th.D., D.Min., to organize the retreat.

Catholic U.S. Military Couples Gather on Guam for Marriage Enrichment Retreat

GUAM – Twenty-six Catholic couples based at U.S. Military installations on Guam spent part of last weekend on Tumon Bay for a Marriage Enrichment Retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The May 19-20 retreat took place at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa, about a five-minute drive from Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport. The time of reflection was facilitated by Mark Moitoza, Th.D., D. Min., AMS Vice-Chancellor for Evangelization. Fathers Guy Kagere, Ch, Capt, USAF, and Daniel J. Swartz, CHC (LT), USN, were on hand and led the couples in prayer.

WALDFISCHBACH-BURGALBEN, GERMANY – Six Catholic couples based at U.S. Military installations throughout Europe spent the weekend in southwest Germany on a Marriage Enrichment Retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The July 8-10 retreat took place at the Maria Rosenberg Retreat Center in Waldfischbach-Burgalben, about a 25-minute drive from Ramstein Air Base. The time of reflection was facilitated by Mark Moitoza, Th.D., D. Min., AMS Vice-Chancellor for Evangelization. His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., Archbishop for the Military Services, was on hand and celebrated Holy Mass with the couples.

ATLANTA, GA – Eight Catholic couples based at U.S. Military installations throughout the southern United States spent the weekend in Atlanta, GA, on a Marriage Enrichment Retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The Oct. 1-3 retreat took place at the Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center on a quiet spot in the woods along the Chattahoochee River. The retreat was facilitated by Dr. Mark Moitoza, Th.D., D. Min., AMS Vice-Chancellor for Evangelization. His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., was on hand,  and celebrated Holy Mass with the couples.

Catholic Military Couples Gather in Assisi, Italy, for Marriage Enrichment Retreat

ASSISI, ITALY – Twenty Catholic couples based at U.S. Military installations throughout Germany and Italy spent the weekend here in the hometown of Saint  Francis of Assisi on a Marriage Enrichment Retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The Dec. 6-8 retreat took place on a sunny hillside in Palazzo di Assisi, about an eight-minute drive from the center of town, at the local Diocesan Retreat Center, known as Villa Santa Tecla.
